MODERN
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Nowadays
civilisation is facing the problem of a higher proportional increasing of the
waste amount than the growth rate of the world population. The enormous
waste-amount per human life is overextending waste management capacities of
bigger and smaller cities!
The
waste is consisting of two fractions, the organic and inorganic fraction! People
already know how that the inorganic share has to be divided into glass, metal
and plastics and gets recycled.
The organic fraction, which must be treated
immediately because of the biological degradation, so far has been treated
aerobically, means composted. The main objective has been to reduce the volume
of waste by demanding big areas of land, time and energy consuming treatment of
the compost.
The energy that is stored in the organic fraction has been wasted more or less.
Also the large areas that are necessary for composting are not available in
large cities anymore as they are valuable and needed for infrastructure projects.
„BIOGAS
PLANTS UTILIZE THE ORGANIC WASTE AS SECONDARY ENERGY SOURCE
FOR ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL ENERGY“ “
- equipment for biogas
plants is successfully in operation for more than 20 years.
